Yizkor Pledge 2024

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees, we welcome you back to Congregation Sons of Israel.  We are delighted that you have chosen to join us as we celebrate the High Holidays together. We pray that you and your family are safe and healthy.

The High Holidays mark the start of our Annual Appeal in which we call upon the membership to provide the financial support necessary for us to continue our long history of offering a variety of services and programs. Needless to say, in order to thrive and to enrich the lives of our congregants of all ages, CSOI needs your support.

We are pleased to report that Congregation Sons of Israel rose to new heights this past year.  The following is but a few of our accomplishments: Monday/Thursday Minyan, Sabbath and Holiday services, daily religious and educational experiences for children and adults both in-person and via Zoom, classes for our nursery and elementary school children in our Hebrew School, J-Stars classes as well as our acclaimed Ganoni pre-school program. Moreover, we provided personal outreach to congregants through mailings, bulletins, and Constant Contact.

Under the rabbinical leadership of Rabbi Steven Saks, life-cycle functions will continue to be officiated with commitment and dedication to our families.  In addition, the Retention and Recruitment Committee will be planning monthly events for all members to attend free of charge.

The above programs took time to plan and cost money.  The High Holiday Appeal has historically been the single most important fundraiser for CSOI.  Through your generous donations, we are able to budget the necessary funds to thrive and remain an energetic and spiritual house of worship.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees, we wish you and your family health and happiness in the New Year.
